What in the world? We were walking through the woods at a nearby park recently, looking at how moss forms on the north side of trees, when we saw a tag similar to the one pictured here on a tree with a ziptie. Luckily, I had my phone handy, we snapped a pic with Google Googles, and we were sent to the Munzee website.
We actually stumbled across a GPS-like game where you scan QR codes to receive points. You can also deploy your own munzees. Pretty fun game. The girls and I have been all over town these past few weeks looking for more and deploying our own. You can find these all over the Country. So I started to think, since all we talk about is BYOD and tablets, Munzee sure would provide a fun way to talk about geography (latitude and longitude), culture, science (flora and fauna), and so much more. You provide a tablet or a Samsung Galaxy player to each ‘team’ on a field trip, and let them find them. Pretty neat!
