We all know data drives K-12 education. Why not further support that by pulling in some great data sources and analyzing (one of Bloom’s higher rungs on his Taxonomy) them for different purposes? In this video, the presenting goes through various data sets that are plotted on web tools. For instance, all the airplane data in the country plotted live so you can see planes taking off, routes they take, and times of day that are busiest. What a great conversation starter for a social studies, physics, or sociology class! How about the same curricular areas, but now focusing on cell and SMS transactions? Look for that and more interesting ways to bring data into your classroom!
