Ever have a document in analog form, maybe a student’s paper, that you wanted to digitize to file in a folder or send to parents? We are beginning to see lots of apps that take a photo from your camera and digitize it. We first noticed the Android Google App to do this (http://www.k12opensourceclassroom.org/?p=1164), and I recently ran into another app.
You sign-up for an account, then can begin snapping away. It is a little different than Google’s. Google you snap a picture and it uploads it as a pdf to Google Docs. Office Drop scans it, and eventually turns it into a searchable document. Much more powerful. But with great power comes…not great responsibility but great cost…$9.99 a month after the trial period expires. So a huge benefit, and some may need that…me, I’ll stick to Google.
