Yes, a museum, but no, you or your students will not get bored upon entering. In this video museum, you will get to see old pieces of hardware and devices and can compare them to current devices. Of course, as quick as things change, your current device may already be in the museum, especially if you work in public education, but this museum is a must see.
So you use the timeline (great skill to teach students!) to pick out a year and an object. You click it, then receive a video with a description of the object. A nicely done, professional video discussing the object. They even foreshadow the future, showing the mouse being obsolete in 2015.
Great site to begin discussions on inventions, inventors, current events, history, and so many other things. What great projects this could elicit–maybe groups find another object and complete a video on it. Maybe they further research one of the existing objects. So many higher level thinking skills that could come from this site.
