Happy Holidays to all of you!  Hope your Christmas is full of OGG players, vorbis video, Linux, and other wonderfully open and free (as in beer and freedom) hardware and software.  I ran across a great article for doing something for our fellow man, and tying in Open Source into it.  For instance, in the blog post (http://blogs.zdnet.com/open-source/?p=857), he suggests purchasing an old box (or using an old one of your own), loading Linux on it, and donating it to a soup kitchen.  Great idea!  I know many school systems conduct regular auctions, selling computers that no longer run the bloated OSs and applications.
