So of course, when pressured about why the Nook, I share its built on Google’s Android OS. Soon, as you’ve seen, I will purchase an Android phone and only time will tell if I buy it on our current AT&T plan, or I shift to Verizon. So running Android=good thing! I also liked the color panel at the bottom. After actually using it, it does have some good functionality as well. Then the *free* (cough, iPad, cough) AT&T connectivity definitely helps as well. It is wifi, but I did not even set it up yet, as I bought books at home and in the office. Pretty strong connection usually too. I have yet to take it to Barnes and Nobles, but apparently, you can read any book in their catalogue there, free. Cool.
My first purchase I actually am reading is pretty poignant for me as well. For my personal philosophy, I totally believe in what Lawrence Lessig discusses. Copyright does have its place, but we over apply it to the point of losing some creativity. So Remix will be the first ebook I read. I will report both on my reading experience with the Nook and on the story.
