Yes, it is that time again. Beginning in late November, the K12 Online Conference will share three weeks of leading-edge educational technologies with people around the globe. Many of the stand outs in web 2.0, 21st Century Skills, and other technology initiatives will gather virtually to share best practices. And the great thing–the entire conference (or at least just about all of it) is asynchronous, so you can attend when you can! I will reflect and report more on this, but to find out more, visit http://k12onlineconference.org/. With the budgets pretty much eliminating any and all professional development in schools, this provides a great opportunity to receive some high-level PD for free. Many school systems will even accept this for CEU credit, so take a look at the PD credit section of their wiki.
