I would assume many of you constantly look for media converters. You want video in one format, but then want it in another to play on another player. I tried many different ones over the years, some work, some did not. You need to subscribe to some, some you pay an install fee.
Awhile ago, I started using Miro, an OSS video player and torrent downloader. It is a great way to see a variety of online content. The other day, I saw that they now advertise a free and open source downloadable video converter.
You download the application (Windows and Mac, no Linux that I see yet), and then you can begin downloading. It is a very easy and intuitive application. You pretty much drag your clip to the box, choose which format you want to convert it to, and it converts. Great! A large number of devices as well–Android and Apple phones, and a whole number of formats.
