Yes, I finally have tired of using Winamp for my music management. I mostly use it to organize and transfer my playlists to my portable Cowon player. At the time, Winamp was the one thing that would recognize the Cowon and transfer playlists. In just opening it up recently, I noticed it did recognize the Cowon. So I figured I would try to create some playlists to see if they would transfer, hence the reason for the Laurie Berkner playlist–made for my daughter! Sure enough, they transferred to the Cowon.
So I will get it a try again. I tried to use it awhile ago, since it is an open source project. Yup, the same folks who make Firefox, Mozilla, run the Songbird project. I really like some of the features, like having tabs to search for things while you organize your playlists. Lots of plug-ins, like Firefox, as well.
And now they have an Android app as well! So we’ll give it a try!
